Butterfly Flower
Ginger flower (lily butterfly) will not flower?
I have several flower pots white ginger, roughly the Btterfly named Lily. Unfortunately, live in a condo, i have a concrete backyard, I have to grow pot. grow very tall and lush, but it just will not bloom!? I had them over 3 years, I had a couple of bulbs during this time, very frustrating. I love the fragrance, we have these flowers at home (Taiwan) and I miss the smell of the settlers who are on the east side of the courtyard with tree shade half the day. water periodically http://www.tropilab.com/butterflylily.html
What container size are you in? A plant that is true that the great need at least a 25-liter container or half barrel to do well. I'm not familiar with butterfly lily, but I know of other plants will not bloom if they are root bound. Their roots need plenty of room to expand. I wish I could be more aid, but that's all I can think as I've never grown a lily butterfly. Has fertilizer? Good Luck
